Raising Hallelujahs
Worship and praise have been a very big part of Sonshine Ministries from its beginning. Recently, a growing and gifted team of worshippers was invited to minister again at Boloti Secondary School where the Sonshine “high school” students board. The incredible impact from the team’s first visit on March 22 led Boloti’s head mistress, Sister Cecilia to invite the group back. On that first visit, the planned praise and worship time and the sharing of the word of God with the Boloti students and their friends brought a tremendous presence of God and an encounter with His Holy Spirit. Many tears were shed and great freedom was gained. The news of that first service spread, and more people wanted to come encounter God.
The positive impact of the Sonshine boarders upon Boloti has been beautiful. Fellow students and teachers have been blessed. When they arrived on campus at the start of the 2026 school year, each Sonshine child carried Sonshine’s motto in their heart - "One person can make a difference". The positive character traits seen in the Sonshine scholars prompted the school leadership to reach out to Sonshine to try to understand the influences on the children's behavior, and how they have come to love Christ so deeply. This opened the door for Sonshine to come to share more about Christ’s love with the school.
Fulfilling the Sonshine mission of raising up children to be Godly, world-changing leaders in the communities they serve is made easier when we all raise Hallelujahs. Letting worship and praise flow from deep within through humility, surrender, and reverence invites the transformation, whether it be at Boloti Secondary School in Masama Magharibi, Tanzania or at the location you are reading this newsletter. Your support, prayers, and encouragement of Sonshine Ministries make this possible. Let us raise Hallelujahs together with great joy!
Zaburi 95:1-2 - Njoni, tumwimbie BWANA, Tumfanyie shangwe mwamba wa wokovu wetu. Tuje mbele zake kwa shukrani, Tumfanyie shangwe kwa zaburi.
Psalm 95:1-2 - Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

Jessica's Joy
Sonshine sponsor Jessica visited Sonshine in April for two weeks on a planned vacation. She shares the following three favorite memories.
1.) “At mealtimes, the kids patiently waited until everyone had a plate of food in front of them at the table. Before they ate, one of the children would pray, and then, the children would sit quietly in their seats and eat. It was wonderful dining together."
2.) “I loved, during times of worship, how the children would sing loudly, and dance with their whole bodies. Everyone danced uniquely and everyone participated. It was noticeable how the children and adults would greet the pastor and shake his hand before sitting down. That really touched my heart.”
3.) “A very special moment for me was when I spent time with about six kids playing my guitar and singing together. I think three hours passed. Some of the children fell asleep on the floor, resting in the peace of God. It was a sweet moment for all of us. The children eagerly want to learn and to be with you.”
Where in the World?
Sonshine Ministries' ministry center is located 9 miles west of the Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) in the Kikatiti administrative ward in the Meru District of the Arusha Region of Tanzania.
Tanzania is divided into 31 regions.
(Arusha is a "region" in Tanzania like Oregon is a "state" in the United States of America.)
Tanzania needs your help. (Low income earners make less than $2.00/day and high earners earn just over $12.00/day.)
Please consider a donation.
In the Arusha Region of Tanzania, over 70% of the working age population awakes each day with the need to earn enough money that day just to buy food to feed themselves and their families. The extreme poverty is one of the biggest contributing factors to the high number or orphaned and abandoned children in Tanzania. Through the generous support of caring donors and sponsors, Sonshine children have been given incredible hope and tremendous ambition to change the nation for good and for God to become future entrepreneurs, business executives, health care professionals, teachers, pastors, care workers, and government leaders.
